Enkianthus are easy, trouble free shrubs for acidic soil. They are grown for their masses of delicate bell-shaped flowers that appear from mid-spring to early summer and their fiery autumnal colours. They are ideal shrubs for an open woodland garden or in a shady border.Enkianthus campanulatus has pendant, creamy yellow bells, tinged pink, from late spring to early summer. It has been given an Award of Garden Merit (AGM), which is for plants of outstanding excellence.
