Context
You have an idea and want to check that it's strong in all areas.
Overview
Flesh out your idea by asking yourself a set questions about its essential qualities.
How-to
- Draw a big beetle on a piece of paper or on a virtual whiteboard, with a head, six legs and a body.
- In the head, write the title of the idea.
- In the body, write the description.
- Now answer one of these questions for each leg in turn:
- Who is it for?
- Why would people use this?
- What is special about this idea?
- What happens if you reverse this?
- What makes this different?
- How could you grow this idea?
- You can add/change/remove these questions to fit your project if they don't quite work.
- There's nothing to stop you adding extra legs with extra questions.
