Whoopee Cushion OrchestraThe 大象传媒 Philharmonic Orchestra will be transformed into the Comic Relief Whoopee Cushion Orchestra to celebrate this year鈥檚 Red Nose Day campaign - here's your chance to join in at Portsmouth's Guildhall Square. Friday 13 March is of course the big day when thousands of people will be doing something funny to raise funds for the charity. In Portsmouth's Guildhall Square, the Big Screen will broadcast a special concert by the critically acclaimed 大象传媒 Philharmonic Orchestra who will transform themselves into the Comic Relief Whoopee Cushion Orchestra. You'll be able to watch them performing popular classics accompanied by some rather loud bottom-burping sounds which will include: The Blue Danube by Johann Strauss If you'd like to take part, just be at the Big Screen from 12:00 on Friday, 13 March, 2009, bring along a whoopee cushion and make sure you tell your friends and family to come along too. Then if you fancy some exercise, after the Whoopee Cushion Orchestra there's a massive line dancing event, with a professional caller taking the square through its paces at a huge hoe down. Later on the big screen will turn into an enormous computer game which you can also take part in. The special games which are based on movement recognition uses a camera on top of the screen which picks up and shows people moving in the square. It then projects objects onto the screen that interact with people's movements. The result is people rushing round the square kicking a virtual reality football or trying to touch and destroy lots of meteorites heading for earth in the centre of the screen! last updated: 04/03/2009 at 12:07 SEE ALSOYou are in: Hampshire > Red Nose Day > Whoopee Cushion Orchestra |
