Rambling | The Lake District

Lakeland habitat
Wilderness and wildlife in abundance - England's Lake District

The Lake District is one of the most spectacular landscapes in Britain, idealised by Victorian poets and painters as a rural idyll and an escape for city dwellers.

Look out for England's only Golden Eagle plus a wide range of rambling opportunities.

Ullswater and Haweswater are both located in the northern Lakes, and both provide a wildlife paradise for nature lovers.

It's a must for nature lovers.

"We're off to rambling country - through our great heathlands, moorlands and hills.

"If you like your reptiles wild - we've got lots of top tips on where you can find them. We're also checking out birds of prey. And we head to the Lakes to meet some of our smallest, furry friends."
