South Worcester Police, investigating the stabbing of a taxi driver at Tibberton in the early hours of Friday 18 August, have released a photograph taken from CCTV film of St. Swithin Street in Worcester at 0015 hours that morning. Police are hoping the photograph will trigger the memories of those who were in the area at the time, who may be able to offer valuable evidence relating to this incident. Members of the public who are able to identify someone in the picture - or perhaps themselves - should contact Det. Constable David Hall at Worcester Police Station by phoning 08457 444 888, quoting incident number 18S/180806. Police are particularly anxious to make contact with a man who was seen getting into the taxi outside the Alliance & Leicester offices in High Street at approximately 0015 hours. He is described as being aged about 23 years, 5ft 8in tall, of average build, with stubble and wearing a cap and a light-coloured jacket.
