The fire
broke out just after half past midnight, on the Worcestershire side
of North Hill, close to Saint Annes Well.
At its height around 500 square metres of the hillside were alight.
Six fire-crews, including some from as far away as Redditch and Stourport,
were forced to control the flames using only hand beaters, because
there was no available water.
It's only been 5 months since 10 acres of wildlife were destroyed
by another fire on the hills, only yards from where this blaze is
thought to have begun.
