The well is situated on the main Malvern to Worcester road .(A449) at Malvern Link just above the railway line.

There fountain fell into disrepair, but has recently been refurbished.

There is a large area of common land around the fountain.

Malvern Hills District Council put a warning on all the wells saying that the water should be boiled before drinking.
