The Edgar Street venue will throw open its doors from 10.00am for
over twelve hours of fun activities and interactive events and the
public is invited to drop in at any time.
There will be live entertainment in the foyer so visitors will be
able to enjoy music and dance.
There will also be free workshops in percussion, circus skills and
samba.
People will be able to take a look behind the scenes of the arts complex
with backstage tours and wardrobe displays.
For young people, face-painting will give a feel for stage make-up
and storytelling sessions will bring to life the written word.
In the early evening, there will be a launch of the balloons bought
by Courtyard audiences with a prize for the one that lands furthest
afield.
Also on Saturday the 20th of September, Alloy will welcome visitors
to its workshop to give an insight into jewellers’ creativity.
Edith Birkin’s thought-provoking exhibition of holocaust paintings
will be on display together with Nick Samsworth’s large abstract paintings
as part of Hereford Art Week (13-23 September)
organised by Herefordshire Council Cultural Services.
There will also be two performances of Guys And Dolls in the Main
House and a screening of the family film The Pirates Of The Caribbean
in the Studio.
