If
you've always fancied yourself as Julie Andrews or Christopher Plummer
then now is your chance to sing along to those classic songs. |

This
is karaoke on a grand scale, not least because fans of the Sound of
Music take things very seriously.
This also guarantees an entertaining evening, even if you don't quite
go to the lengths of dressing up as a nun or as one of the Von Trapp
family.
Singalong evenings are growing in popularity - whether it's a scratch
Messiah or The Rocky Horror show, which began the whole phenomenon
in the first place.
If you go along to this evening you can expect people in costume and
plenty of chances to sing along to the songs in this classic musical.
Don't worry if you're not sure of all the words to Edelweiss - they'll
appear on the screen with a bouncing ball to make sure you don't fall
behind.
The songs in the film are: "Maria," "The Sound of Music,"
"My Favourite Things," "You Are Sixteen, Going On Seventeen,"
"Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "Do-Re-Mi," and "Edelweiss."
So dust off your nun's habit and prepare for an evening wallowing
in nostalgia and great show tunes. |
