Diana
Rigg is a woman of many talents - actress, writer, broadcaster -
but did you know she also loves to fish?
Talking to 大象传媒 Hereford and Worcester's Katie Smith she admitted
that she's a keen angler, and that she loves the sport because it
gives her the chance to see the countryside at its best.
"I've been fishing for a long time and my favourite is trout
fishing, though I love salmon fishing too.
"I think the season for trout fishing is when the countryside
is at its most beautiful and you just feel so privilaged.
"It's so wonderful when the mayfly is hatching"
Diana Rigg is in Malvern playing the lead in the Tennesee Williams
play Suddenly Last Summer, which she says is a typically deep work.
"I have a son (Sebastian), who dies in mysterious circumstances,
and his companion at the time was my niece, and I've heard rumours
about what my neice is saying about what happened when my son died
- it's deeply dramatic."
The play takes place in the sultry heat of New Orleans as she plans
her act of revenge on the girl she believes stole Sebastian from
her.
This new production is by Sheffield Theatres聮 award-winning
Associate Director, Michael Grandage.
