A year after the war had started, my grandma went to school in one of the most dangerous parts of London which was in the thick of the action. She said that she had never witnessed something as horrific as this. The atmosphere was unpleasant, the sky was black and all she could here were children screaming with fear. Some young children didn't even no what was happening. They couldn't understand what was happening and why it was happening, in fact noone new what was happening. She saw bombs in the distance crashing into buldings. She was counting the days until a crater bomb fell on her school until one day, BANG. There was a Nazi army jet circulating the area in the sky. The aeroplane went silent and the crater fell on the school. Whilst the adults ran for their lives, little children (who didn't no what was going on) were jumping on the craters as if it was there for jumping on. All my grandma could do was stare at her school that was now nothing but rubble. A week later, all schools had been bombed and the english forces had to figure out a plan to secure the safety of all children. The plan went ahead. This plan was to separate thousands of children from their parents. My grandma, along with other children, departed for Wales for safety leaving their parents behind. My grandma didn't understand what was going on and at the end of the war, she never found her parents.
