I used to live on a farm and we used to get prisoners of war to work for us .I really liked this one man because he used to make us toys. They were wooden with a string to make them move.
The government told us what to grow .We had to plough up all our grass fields to grow things for England our family had to grow potatoes and suede鈥檚.
Our primary school had to knit scarf鈥檚 for the army .We had to do it at playtime and at home .If we left it behind you were really told off as you had a target each week.
