In November 2005 my father Tom Smith met up with Bernard Myers (the Air gunner from his second crew) for the first time in over 60 years. I had managed to trace Bernard by searching the internet and finding the C.V of an artist of the same name who was exhibiting at the NEW GRAFTON GALLERY, this mentioned that he had been in the RAF 1943-47 and now lived in Hammersmith. A search of the telephone directory and a quick call confirmed that this was the right person.
