My sister, Alice, made siren suits for us because we were often awoken in the middle of the night while wearing our night gowns. These were all in one suits, which buttoned up the front. They were easy to slip on and kept you warm as there was no heating. You would pull a coat over the top and go into the air raid shelter. They came in very useful!
