One day during my childhood I was in the garden when a aeroplane came over the house, it was that low it really frightened me, some years later l was told the plane had bombed a street not too far away and over 150 people had been killed in a air raid shelter. l believe the ground is still conscreted ground, as most of the bodies were left there. I was about 4years old but the memory has never left me.
