My Grandad was part of 2nd Worcs. Regmt from April 1945 - April 1946 having previously been in the Manc and S/Staff Regmt. He rarely spoke of this time, only mentioning the animals in the jungle and how he had to suck stones to fight off thirst. He never collected any medals. Just wondering if anyone remembered him or was part of the same regmts.

Fred Reed, a member of Market Harborough Branch, Royal British Legion, served in your grandfather's battalion in Burma in June 1945. I will ask him if he knew him.

Look out for Fred's own story soon.
