First Aid exercise at Swanwick, c1940, Hampshire Record Office ref 38A01/4. Not to be reproduced without written permission of Hampshire Record Office

Photographs held at Hampshire Record Office in Winchester give an insight into the often unaccustomed roles which many Hampshire people played in their communities during the war years.

This photograph comes from an album relating to the service of Katharine Winn in the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (FANY). Miss Winn lived at Holly Hill, Sarisbury Green, and the photograph shows a first aid exercise at nearby Swanwick in c1940.
