Stories will be posted when diaries etc have been consulted.
A reel of tape is with the Imperial War Museum containing some of my reminiscencies, originally recorded by 大象传媒 Radio Kent for their series called, I think, Wartime Kent.
Hallo John
I have just joined this WW2 People's War thing.
Before I write about my "war career" and offer some memories, I thought I would try to contact you because you might be interested in knowing that my career quite closely followed your own.
I, too, was mobilised three times before the war, the last time lasting for the duration.
My first unit was 313th (Kent) AA Coy RE (TA). In that Coy I went through the Battle of Britain and the Blitz at various places in "Bomb Alley".
After some courses I was posted to the Far East and into the Indian Army.
Other than a brief spell in Quetta, all this service was in Assam until we advanced into Burma until hostilities were supposed to have ended.
Best wishes
