Friends
In WW2 my grandpa and one of the other men became really close friends, like best friends, his name was David. One day the whole camp them were transferred. So my grandpa and his friend got split up. One day David was walking along, and he had been told many times NEVER to open a man hole, because no-one knew weather there would be a landmine inside. The one David opened did have one in, it shot him up onto the roof of an Italian house. Kindly the Italian people bought his body down from their roof. When my Grandpa found out he was very upset and angry with his friend for opening the manhole.
Food
One day my Gran and her friends decided to have a party. So they saved up lots and lots of rations, but just before they started to eat, the airraid went off. They had to quickly get into the back shelter, but my Gran who was about 13 at the time didn鈥檛 want to go in the shelter. So she decided she was hungry. She was going up the stairs in her house, when the warden from down stairs spotted her from down stairs. The warden had to run upstairs and drag her all the way down the stairs back into the shelter. She still never got her food to this day.
