We still had rationing books when I got married, but during the war years we also had the clothing coupons.
The food was more or less the same all the time.
My sister would take us to get sweets and cakes and it was a wonderful treat - but we had to queue.
I liked the spam and the dried egg.
My mum used to cook the dried egg in a frying pan. It was like a pancake and we would cut it up so everyone could have a piece.
