On the 11th January 1941 my mother, my sister aged 8 and myself a boy of 5, were in our living room. The air raid warning had gone off but we were unable to go into our garden shelter as it had filled with water so we sat under the table. a HE bomb buried itself under our house and blew up. The entire block of 4 terraced houses was totally destroyed.

Hello Bernard, You did not say where the house you lived in was. I lived in Lyme Road. My piece is called An"old" boy's story, A2365571.
