My Grandfather was Pte.John(jack)lally,He was in the pioneercorps,Army No.13006468 and Pow No.30842.He was wounded while in the rear guard at Dunkirk.he lost his left leg as a result and spent almost 4 years in Stalag 8b. He was repatriated in late 1943.the ships involved in the repatriation were the S/S drottningholm and the Hospital ship Atlantis. My Granfather was from Leeds in Yorkshire.
I would like to hear from anyone who knew him or was repatriated with him on one of these ships.any information no matter how little would be very wecome.I have some pictures of his days in the camp and would share them with anyone who is interested.
