My granny Margaret Watson lived in London during the blitz and one night when she was in bed her house was bombed and the roof caved in. in a panic my granny grabbed the cat and ran to her bed room window open it and had to jump in to a tree which was in the garden and then climbed down to safety and ran to the front were the her parents were they then walked across London in there bear feet to the nearest underground station were they lived for about a week before they went to the countryside to live with my great granparents
