I'm posting the story of my uncle Stan Johnson to this website. Uncle Stan was in the Lancashire Fusiliers during the war and was captured by the Germans near Dunkirk. He spent most of the war in POW camps and this is his story of those days, he asked me to type it for him in 1997 so that he could leave a record for his grandchildren. Stan is still in good health despite his wartime experiences and lives in Northumberland, he's also a very good artist and has many paintings of the forced marches and sketches made in the camp. I'm sure he'd love to get in touch with any of his old friends from those days.
