I studied at Leeds University and was a "recognised student in training" therefore becoming a teacher. I taught biology at Kings School Chester and then at Brewood Grammar School before training teachers at Matlock College. I am now retired with my wife Margaret who I married after our university studies and my National Service and we have a family of three children and four grandchildren. Natural history (especially birds), travel, art, family and local history are my interests.
