I was born in May 1934 and as a five year old have distinct memories of the start of world war two while we were on holiday at my aunts in Folkestone.
I feel I have a duty to record my memories so that future generations, including my own two children and, so far, five grandchildren, will be able to read of the dreadful times we went through.
What better place to do this than through the pages of this web site.
I now live in Northumberland with my severely disabled wife, who suffers from the cruel disease of multiple sclerosis.
