I am an amateur researcher with a particular interest in Sword Beach on D-Day. I have an idea that I might write a book on the subject when I retire in 29 years time!
The best part about research is seeing how personal and "official" histories tie up and how they disagree. The worst part is seeing how much poorly researched work is actually published.
