I was born just before the war so, to me, the air raids and hardships were normal life. I am interested in hearing about anyone else's experiences in my area of Dulwich and Peckham. I went to Friern Road Infants' School, then Dulwich Hamlet and lastly to Sydenham County Girls' Grammar School. My brother, Eric, and I went to the local Sunday School at Barry Road Methodist Church and later to their Brownies, Guides (he was in the Cubs and Scouts) and graduated to the Youth Club.
My road was hit by a flying bomb and incendiaries but we were lucky and escaped serious damage.
