My eldest Sister worked for the Metel Box Co who was then making Ammo she married her school boy friend in 1942 he then went to India with the
R A F My eldest brother went into the Army and returned from Dunkirk then went with Monty.
My other brother went for the Navy and spent the war on H M S Victorious his mate who he joined up with went onto the Hood never to be seen again.
My other sisters boy friend went into the R A F as a rear gunner and was blown out of his turret he was 18 years old.
I no longer attend the rememberence servise for all those young lads who died defending our shores when today any Tom Dick or Harry can walk into our country. What was it all for.
