My mother, Joan Laver joined the ATS in 1942 when her husband, my father, was posted to India. Her home was in Ilford, Essex. She died many years ago and I never asked my father much about her life but would really like to know more now.

I have a little photo taken on VE day in Warrington of my mother with three ATS colleagues who have signed the back. They are Rita Edlin, Pam Adams and Barbara De Cristefaro. If anyone recognises those names it would be great.
Also if anyone remembers my mother in the ATS that would be good. I know she spent some time in Harrogate and worked assessing recruits for their sutablilty for the various jobs available.
