During WW2 my Benson Family ran the Waggon and Horses Pub in Bedale. They ran it from 1928-1948. While in Bedale, they received a few pictures of the different troops that frequented the pub and area. I would like to find out more about these different men and the units they belonged to. Along with the pictures of the British men I also have a picture of an RCAF plane and the men who flew it, this picture was taken in Leeming, I think, it includes my great-uncle Johnnie Carr, I would like to find out more about this unit, should someone know any information. My mum is the last remaining member of the Benson Family, and she would be thrilled to hear about any information from that time period. We know live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Pictures can be viewed on the Yorkshire page of my genealogy site Kintail to Cape Breton
