This entry is dedicated to my father, Clifford Hagley. He enlisted as a professional soldier and served with the 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards during World War II. As a child I listened to his war stories, often intrigued and fascinated by his accounts. He died in 1985.
With the passing of years, his stories, along with others have taken on a new and more profound meaning for me. I have not been exposed to the horrors of total war, and now find myself with a renewed sense of admiration and pride for the courage and conviction of my father and countless others.
This brief account is my Thank you.
