My father, John Vincent Forster, was in the R.I.A.S.C (and before that the ARP and Home Guard) during the war. In 2001 he wrote down some of his stories for Ellie, one of his grandchildren, who was doing a school project. He died aged 82 in December 2003 and I wanted to add his story to this website in his memory.
