Hi.
I am trying to put together my mothers life when she was driveing an ambulance during the blitz. My mother is 84, and is a nursing home in
Cornwall, she is in the middle stages of Altziemers. She does remember things- mostly names and places. I live in Canada and am not able to see her as often as i would like.
My mothers maiden name was, Mary Luisa Halliday. She learned to drive through the London police at Hendon. I believe she was stationed in the London dockland, Cannon st. road, Algate. She was then moved to the East India dock. She lived in a flat near Tuffnall park Rd. My mother married a Mechant navy officer called Kohe Dunn. They had four children. My mother had some good friends from the Ambulance service days. Unfortunately we never met any of them. I have some 'grainy' photos that i am mounting in an album. I would be interested to here from anyone who might remember that time and perhaps- her.

Anne.
