I was born in Worthing, Sussex in 1933, and when I was 5 years old my parents moved the family to Bournemouth where we spent the war. I had two brothers, Cyril aged 8 years and David aged 3 years.
When I was 10 years old I attended the Bournemouth School for Girls and after that had a very varied career which included 5 years as a WRAC Officer serving in Hong Kong 1956-8 and then in the Foreign Office in the British Embassy in Baghdad 1960-62.
I married in 1962 and had two lovely sons, and I now have two grandchildren. I qualified and taught as a teacher of Business Studies in Adult Education for about 16 years and then studied New Testament Greek for about 7 years. I have recently studied Ignatian Spirituality and Spiritual Direction and work for the Church back in Sussex where I now live with my husband. I enjoy visiting London for Exhibitions and especially for the ballet at Covent Garden.
