My name is William Neeson, I have always been interested in the war and what people went through back then. I was born in May 1948, thankfully just too late to experience it first hand. Although like many of those born just after the end of the war, I do remember ration books and the hardship that carried on into the late 50's. My father served in the Merchant Navy during WW2. My father-in-Law was awarded the M.M. for bravery in France in 1940. Although I was not aware of this until quite close to his death.
