I Was in the KOYLI 1/4th and took part in action with the Hallamshire's in the days after D Day. I saw combat in operation Martlet which took place at Tessel Wood, close to Vendes during June & July 1944. In recent years I have taken care to recall and record my experiences from this time, and have spent time revisiting the places where I saw action.(franzvonwerra@fsmail.net)
