As for myself, I was born in 1972 and live in Vancouver BC, Canada. I had a great grandfather who fought in the Boer War. He was a glass-beveller from Middlesex. Later, he fought with the Canadians in WW1 and was killed in action. I also had two other great-uncles who died in WW1 and another who I'm not sure what happened to. Only one person from my family was a serviceman in WW2, my great-uncle Bob (1906-2002) who never spoke of his service. He was a courier, but I don't know much else. He was awarded a medal in the 1960s or 70s from our Prime Minister, Pierre Elliot Trudeau. Uncle Bob disliked Trudeau but met with him anyways.
I'm interested in chatting with anyone on this site who likes to tell stories of what they or their family did in the war(s).
