The mobile studio offered young people two days of workshops to showcase and explore their creative talent. Music, video, dance, creative writing and fashion were the core of the two day event. Inspiration, creativity and fun was the only fare needed to hop on board.
Local DJ's, break dancers, poets, artists, musicians and more were on hand to give advice and offer practical opportunities to young people aged between 13-19.听 The break dancing and body popping workshop was a real hit.听Local break-dancer Archi twisted and turned and almost tied the group in knots with his warm up routine. However, by the end of the two hour session, the group were able to head spin and perform a two minute dance set to music.听 DJing proved a big attraction with youngsters. Spinning and mixing the latest dance tunes soon identified future Ibiza DJ talent.
Eco-fashion workshops transformed a selection of old recyclable clothes into ultra trendy handbags. Balls of modelling clay soon became characters, as the creative juices really flowed for later animation filming. Creative writing brought stories alive and drama and theatre were well versed with budding actors. A melodic performance by a group of local youngsters who spent the summer learning the samba beat ended day one of the activities.听A wonderful acoustic session by local bands The Dirty Dreamers and The Favours wrapped up the Blast Truck event. |
