Memoryshare

Memoryshare is your chance to be a part of buiding a history of Britain as seen through the eyes of its citizens. Starting in 1900 and ending at the present day, you can help write history.

What is Memoryshare?

Memoryshare is about putting your memories online to build up a unique picture of living in the British isles since 1900.

It's unique because Memoryshare is about building up a picture of our history from Britain's citizens. Anyone who lives, learns, works or plays in this country can contribute to recording what life was like living in the 20th century and continuing into the 21st.

What makes a memory?

Personal experiences of being at a significant place in time which you witnessed. They don't have to be 'local' memories. Our population has changed over the years and people are more mobile than ever.

How do I add my memory?

Memories can be added quickly through the web and sometimes by personal application through 大象传媒 offices and special events. A simple sign up procedure on the web and access to your e-mail address means you could be adding a memory in minutes.

What happens to my memories?

Your memories are added to a special timeline accessed through 大象传媒 webpages across the country which can be browsed by thousands of people. We group similar types of memories together to make them easier to find. If you give permission, the 大象传媒 might contact you to find out more and you could feature in a special programme. However you have to give permission for this to happen.
