Aunty Chloe supervises the digging

This week Chloe Davis and Christine Barker were released on good behaviour from the hallowed halls of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ building in Hull to visit two schools in Northern Lincolnshire.Ìý Taking with them seeds, pots and soil they met up with some 3 – 5 year old ‘experts’ who told them just what plants need to grow.

More than thirty children planted edible seeds to grow and eat – assuming they are successful the tasting is to come.

It was all part of Breathing Places which encourages everyone to ‘Do One Thing’ for nature.

The idea is that easy to do things really can make a big difference and if we all do just one simple thing, we'll make a big difference together.

At Althorpe and Keadby Nursery Unit on Monday, 21 children planted their individual seeds in pots and learned from Chloe they would need to water the seeds if they were to grow!

And at Killingholme Primary School Foundation Unit we had a fabulous time on Tuesday when Thomas, Jonathan and Claudia spoke to Lara King on the Mid Morning show.

Who said 'never work with children? We had a ball!
