PAKISTAN EARTHQUAKE SPECIAL | Devastation - the town of Bagh as seen from above. |
We look at the trauma faced by the South West families with no news
about loved ones caught up in the South Asia earthquake. Inside Out
South West looks at the work of the two regional charities Rapid UK and Shelterbox.
There has been a huge response to the Shelterbox appeal for help.
This Helston-based charity sends out "survival boxes" to disaster zones
containing tents, sleeping bags, cooking and building tools. KEY CONTACTS |

Dozens of volunteers have been working in their warehouse to get hundreds
of boxes out to South Asia.
Meanwhile Rapid UK's Nick Spence, who
lives in Exeter, is part of the 25-strong team which has been pulling survivors
from collapsed buildings. We also meet Pakistani-born Dr Jan Mohammed who
lives in Cornwall. His sister's house has been destroyed by the earthquake
and he knows she has been injured, but finding out more is proving virtually impossible. Links
