´óÏó´«Ã½ iPlayer uses cookies to help give you a personalised experience. Cookies help us remember the settings you choose across the ´óÏó´«Ã½ website, such as your sign-in details and whether or not you've set up a Parental Guidance Lock.
To make sure your ´óÏó´«Ã½ cookies are switched on and to find out more about how we use cookies across the ´óÏó´«Ã½ website, head to your ´óÏó´«Ã½ account settings:
- Click on your name or username at the top of the page (next to the ´óÏó´«Ã½ logo)
- Click Continue to settings and then confirm your sign-in details
- Go to the Privacy and cookies tab
- Scroll down and click on Change your cookie settings here
If you opt out of ´óÏó´«Ã½ cookies, here’s what will be affected…
- Staying signed in
We won't be able to remember that you've signed in, or what your sign in details are. That means you'll have to sign back in to your ´óÏó´«Ã½ account each time you access the ´óÏó´«Ã½ website.Ìý
Ìý - Your Added list
This won’t work if you’re not signed in. If you are signed in, your Added list will work but recent additions may not appear immediately.
Ìý - Your location
We may not be able to remember the location you've set. This means you might not see the programme you're expecting when you watch live streams, such as your local news, and the TV schedules won't show the schedule for your area.
Ìý - Parental Guidance Lock
You won’t be able to set the Parental Guidance Lock and a pop-up will appear on every programme with a Guidance label asking you to confirm you’re 16 or over.
Ìý - TV licence setting
We won't be able to remember that you've said you have a TV licence, so you'll be asked every time you watch a programme on ´óÏó´«Ã½ iPlayer. (Please remember that you must have a TV licence to watch on-demand programmes as well as live streams.)
