Andrew Cousins and Paul Henty have been rather busy of late getting their film project, Affirmations of the Soul, off the ground. With the script in the can, they're now looking for actors and crew to help make their ambition a reality.
Paul Henty
The film's based on a story of love, intrigue and a mysterious bracelet and will be filmed locally over a three-month period. There's no money on offer for those who get involved, but the experience could be invaluable for anyone hoping to make it big.
Andrew Cousins.
Andrew Cousins, who'll be directing, is keen to recruit local talent who are willing to give up their weekends and evenings to get the project moving. But as he says, "We might just discover the next Thora Birch or Jake Gyllenhaal". Anyone who's interested needs to email Paul and Andrew through the film's website with a photo to get things rolling. The producers intend to produce a DVD of thire final cut next year to take to a film festival,听 hopefully after holding a premiere at a local cinema. Selling copies of the film locally is something they may explore, so long as they can secure stockists.
Vicky Fee
Both Andrew and Paul are pleased that Vicky Fee, who's recently been working with Leeds band 'King Booty', has joined the team to write and sing the songs for the film's sountrack. Affirmations of the Soul will explore the idea "that superstitions are something that can be used to manipulate people". The superstitions in question all centre on the bracelet that will be found by one of the main characters at the start of the film.
Andrew's Rabbit find.
This all important central prop, has yet to be found however. Paul and Andrew are looking into the possibility of having one made by a local jewellery designer, or attempting the job themselves. One item they already know will be seen in front of the camera though, is a moon-gazing rabbit that Andrew picked up recently at a sale, although he didn't want to say too much about what he's got in mind for it!
