Each week five or six bands will compete in front of a panel of judges for a place in the grand final on 29 August where the winner will get a chance to play five paid gigs at Chicago Rock.

The gigs start at 17:00 and finish by 20:30 at Chicago Rock and entry is 拢2 per person and the gigs are open to all ages.

As well as the six competing bands there will be a performance from a more established or previous winning band to open the show.

Heat Four

The fourth heat takes place on Tuesday 15 August and Unwanted will be opening a show featuring Red Igwana, Off Limits, The Kicks, Terrorists and Schizophrenia.

vicky
faulty plan sucked at the battle of the bands heat 2!!! lol Ey seb!!

Chris (Typically Norman)
To be honest who cares who won, but i do feel quite disapointed that Omerta who played a full original set, which sounded Awesome came 4th? im not trying to say that the other bands werent good, but omerta's originals....i think they are a bit more skillful in every aspect in comparison to playing razorlight covers, i think that next year to enter battle of the bands you should have a full set of originals...that would be interesting. I wonder what bands would be left?

do1
'Crazy Fool' has just said because a punk band won it was bias, he said a metal band should of won, then wouldent that make the judges bias to metal. What happened to metal, theres loads of metal bands and hardly any proper punk bands.

music is power!
Battle of the bands was pretty gd this year, 13:53 and the switch wer awesome, and are reli talented! so big shout out 2 u, and btw u both rocked at live lounger! omerta are totall quality 2!

Crazy fool
this was a crap battle of the bands, what happened to metal, ill tell u wat the judges were bias and punk idiots, punk sucks takes no skill

KITCAT
OFF LIMITS R R AWESOME!!XXXXXXX

Tran
Punks not dead! The revolt won for a reason, there true punk! from the hearts its not about sound to them its about attitude! your a great band and they sound great! So whats the deal?

Tran
The Revolt are Aggresive Punk! There arent alot of fans out there but if you dont like it you dont have to listen Final! Tranandthevestites

Tom Videira (The Revolt)
lol we think were the pistols ha we cant play our instuments and i cant sing but you are all jealous of us we have proved that you dont have to be good to be a well known band unlucky guys slag us off on our website or even ell us in person love you all for the critisism lots of love tom videira (the revolt) p.s. punks not dead!!!

Berty214
erm No Mate i dont listen to razorlight but i do think that the band that came second in the final played it well.

revoltrock!
why is everyone dissing revolt they are really good!

TosserJMF
Sorry Berty214 but you listen to Razorlight. Making any other thing you said in your post void.

peepo
alice they were called red iguana

Berty214
I Am appauled at the desision in the botb final, i personaly think that revolt or what ever they call them selves where terrible and the worste band there in my opinion, there lyrics dont mean anything and are about a load of rubbish which most of the time you cant make out what they are saying because the singer is shouting down the mic and not singing. me and my dog could have come up with a better sounding song. The Band that should have won was off limits they sound and look like a propper band, just couse they dont shout a load of rubbish down the mic and they have lyrics that make sense doesnt mean that they should be marked down for it. The band that came second was good and i think that they deserved to come where they did there version of razor light was very good indeed. but i cant stress enough how bad i thought revolt where

TosserJMF
But saying that, at least The Absense didnt get to the final. Humanity still does have some hope left.

TosserJMF
What a load of monkey turd the results were at the final. I like the Revolt though so well done to them. But the order of the top 5? Sorry to sound harsh but to say that Off Limits and 13:53 were/are better than Typically Norman and Omerta is beyond a joke. Shows how little Chicago Rock as a venue knows about local music in my opinion.

Bry
I have to say, tonight's final was very disappointing. Some bands were not at their best (looking back at their heats) and others really were quite a suprise (mainly because i didnt see their heat). But I am shocked and irritated at tonights results. I think there has been a lot of talent in this year's competition which has been ignored or dismissed- we all know in our hearts who we are talking about here. Granted I don't like The Revolt's style, but objectively, I still think there were better bands that deserved to have won. This years heats have been unfairly judged, and we can only hope that all will be ammended next year...I say hope, but we all know it will be a farce. I think I will probably join several others in a boycott of the event, just because I feel that it is a disgrace to Jersey's young talent.

Steve Wright
The Final was pathetically badly judged, yet again the worst band of the evening, with the least talent won. What a suprise, the judges are clearly deaf, punk is dead, in fact it was never alve to start with only a simple money making device quite like the pop music industry of today. The Revolt, cant play their instruments to any satisfactory level. Simply using the excuse of the sex pistols to have a shit band with a singer who cant actually sing. This final was aweful, and im ashamed of myself for paying to see such a horrible lack of judgement. The bands trailing 4th and 5th were clearly the more takent of any bands playing tonight. I am shocked and disgusted and i will be boycotting next years event.... who's with me?

carly
the final was a fix and no doubt...i thort heat 3 was pretty fixed i mean if blacklight weren't guna win then gone fishing defo shud hav...the revolt winning the whole thing is pretty much a robbery lol! sorry but omerta shud hav won!!!

jonny - blacklight and skies of deciet
here's a laugh for you and this shows what a sham this competition really is - Wasabi (heat 5) played 4 originals, yet in the write up in the JEP it said that they didn't play any. this years competition is a right farce. yeh im pretty pissed off i didn't get through especially with the heat 3 result but what can i do not much but when the JEP can't even get the facts right what hope is there

Off Limits Fan !!
Theres no way Off Limits are a boring band !! And to be fare there wasn't to much competition.. They tried as hard as they could to get thorugh to the final and they earned a well deserved place !! Every 1 get to the final to check um out !! wooo

John
Blacklight were good, but blacklight are always good, surely it would be better to let a different new band go through instead of the usual bands. And the revolt were so good and deserved it, i also think gone fishin' were cool.

*ItSmAgIc*
bLACKLIGHT WERE ROBBED!!!!!!!!!

hmm...
well everyone knows everyone in jersey....

Orlando JEP
Heat 3 a fix? How could it be a fix! What you reckon they paid us to vote for them!? How much do you reckon they paid? A fiver? You kids make me laugh! Reminds me of being your age and not getting through to the finals and saying the judges were fixed. Ha! Cheers guys, that's really cheered me up, was having an awful day. Keep rockin.

alice
heat 4 was a fix - off limits were so boring the band that played after unwanted were heaps better.. anyone know what they were called??

yeeehaaa
come on metal!! need sum more metal like JMF and manifestation

Tosser JMF
I reckon the judging on heat 3 was pretty fair. Blacklight were awesome and it came to a close decision between them and The Revolt. Who were also awesome. I think in the end they went for The Revolt to get some variety in the final.

Cool
Well I'm happy how the finals turig out to be, finally not all metal bands, finally theres punk, finally a mix of genres.

annie
im goin 2 heat 4 2moz an im really lookin 4ward 2 it!

Happy Fan
Well I enjoyed heat three, I loved The Revolt. Just because some people didn't like them doesn't make them a bad band, obviously they have talent...

KieranOmerta
Thanks very much!

anon
who do you think should of won?

another angry fan
what a load of rubbish heat three was - what where the judges thinking???? the revolt??? what is it with this competition that the worst bands get chosen to play in the final? To become a more respectable competition the organisation needs a kick up the ....

Angry Fan!
I was absolutley disgusted at Heat 3! It was such a fix! MAY THE JUDGES BURN IN HELL!
