Whilst for you or I jumping headfirst into a crocodile infested swamp is the stuff nightmares are made of, for John Uphoff it鈥檚 something much much more terrifying 鈥� it鈥檚 taking public transport.

So, in the name of charity, John and Mr Darcy will be taking a bus for the first time EVER in Jersey (unfortunately ladies, Mr Darcy is his dog, not the post-lake-swim Colin Firth 鈥� mores the pity).

But for Children in Need he鈥檚 prepared to commit football blasphemy 鈥� he鈥檚 wearing the shirt of the OTHER North London football club for the day.

鈥淚鈥檇 rather face a pit of vipers than wear a Tottenham shirt,鈥� said Roger.

Phone-in caller Ann told Roger that his move was tantamount to betrayal:

"You cannot possibly change your colours - you want at least a couple of thousand. For heaven鈥檚 sake don't sell out for 拢40 - what kind of a supporter are you?"

鈥淭hat鈥檚 disgusting,鈥� agreed Sportscene鈥檚 Richard Collinson when he saw our photoshop mock-up of Roger in the Tottenham shirt.

Roger had hoped that fellow Arsenal supporters would come to his aid and pledge more money for him to keep his Gunners shirt on than has been promised to CiN by those wanting to see听him in a Tottenham top.
