大象传媒 One

The bulletins lasts 90 seconds and feature national and local news and weather.
Digital channel 大象传媒 Three has been running regular 60-second news bulletins since it launched in 2003.

The Channel Islands bulletin will be broadcast from the 大象传媒 studios in Parade Road, St Helier, Jersey and will be presented by Roisin Gauson.

Roisin Gauson

Having worked in the local media for eleven years, Roisin made the move to 大象传媒 Radio Guernsey in 2000 before returning to her roots in television a couple of years later as senior correspondent in Guernsey for 大象传媒 Spotlight Channel Islands.

Born and brought up in Guernsey she is now able to bring the news to islands.听

amiliar to many islanders, she is the face of the late news on 大象传媒 Spotlight and is also the main presenter of the new 8pm bulletin 鈥 a challenge she is really looking forward to.

Roisin said of the 8 bulletin that 鈥淚t鈥檚 a real opportunity for us to hit a totally different audience.听 The style and look of the eight is so different to our main evening bulletin that it鈥檚 really exciting.

鈥淚t鈥檚 fresh, pacy, tightly written and has a real identity all of it鈥檚 own. To have the honour of being the first presenter to bring this service to the Channel Islands is a real privilege.听 I can鈥檛 wait!鈥

A keen sportswoman, Roisin has represented Guernsey in two Island Games, but since 1997 has taken on a reporting role for the multisport event which takes place every two years.听 Most recently fronting Spotlight鈥檚 coverage of the 2007 games from a beachside caf茅 in Rhodes!

She has presented the local election coverage for Radio and Television in both Jersey and Guernsey, as well as covering the far-reaching constitutional changes to the last feudal system in the western world 鈥 Sark鈥檚 Chief Pleas.

Outside of work, Roisin is a keen horse rider, regularly competing both locally and overseas in a number of disciplines.

She is also a self-confessed foodie, loves to cook, and likes nothing better than enjoying good food and wine in good company.

So tune in every weekday from 8pm for a 30 second roundup of news for the Channel Islands.

C - You can't blame Jersey for the poor CSO. From the looks of it they went for a big TV instead which actually looked better than the national did. And as far as i'm concerned, they had a better looking presenter too.....

C
The bulletin looks very cheap and tacky with that poor CSO background and then the quick jump from National to Regional presenter. Very poor aesthetically!

At last!I remember when I was a kid we used to get "Spotlight" from 大象传媒 SW...no disrespect to folks from the West Country, but I really didn't care much for superfluous and irrelevant info on what was going on in some village in the outskirts of Truro that I probably couldn't even spell properly...
