Jersey Live is over for another year and it has been another massive success. The bands went down well - including an incredible set by the mighty Prodigy - the toilets were aplenty and the event was relatively incident free.

According to the police there were around 90 evicted by security, 120 treated by medical personnel and 10 arrests.

Of the 120 people treated by medical personnel: 9 were taken to hospital, three of which were for drug related problems.

Of the arrests: 3 were for drugs, 2 for refusing to obey the police, 1 for drunk and disorderly, 2 for fighting and 2 others dealt with in relation to alleged assaults.

Police said that, overall, they were "pleased that the vast majority of people went to Jersey Live and enjoyed themselves in a peaceful fashion".

On stage

Jersey bands more than held their own on stage with the acts brought over from the UK, although it would have been nice to have seen more people at the Showground earlier in the day to support the local acts.

However, there were enough people there to help The Author out: "it's amazing, it's good because everyone sings all your words back to you so if you forget the words you can just watch whoever is in the front row singing along."

Chris from We Are Scientists shared his thoughts on the island and its desperation for entertainment.

He said: "I felt like these people have been pent up on this island for so long that frankly they wouldn't have known if we had come out there and slung a bunch of Johnny Cash covers on them or played advanced level modern rock. Luckily for them we gave them advanced level modern rock.

He also went out into the crowd earlier and "took out a couple of hackey sacks and started juggling" and "drew a crowd of about 1200" which caused him to declare of the island that "they are desperate for entertainment here."

Festival compare Mani loved it at Jersey Live. He said "for a small island like Jersey to have a festival like this is great.听 I've just been for a wander round and the kids are having a great time, it's a great day.

"Not only are you gonna get some top line talent but it's also giving a good ding out there to the local bands in the island. Which is important, get them out there, get them seen and they can make a career out of it."
