I have very fond memories of the Corbeire Lighthouse. As a child we would often visit the area and enjoy the view.Although at the time our movements were somewhat restricted by the German Forces. Came to Australia with my parents in 1948 and often thought of revisiting Jersey but never did. Great Views thanks for the memories Mike O'Callaghan.

Been visting Jersey since 1958 and always go to Corbeire but never been inside - great to see it. Have some old pics of my twin sister and I sitting at the bottom of the steps to the lighthouse taken in early 60s.

Between the wars I lived in St. Saviour's as a boy. When the sky was in the 'right mode', the sweeping beam from the lighthouse would catch my bedroom window, and the faint would show on my ceiling.At one time I could remember the frequency, and the foghorn sounded, the crockery would rattle!

Hey! Great site. I have loved lighthouses since I was in the 5th grade. (That was in 1975) I have had the pleasure of going inside 2 lighthouses in Florida and I must say, it was quite an experience! I love these old structures. I wish I could live in one!

I was in Jersey a few summers ago and stayed in a lovely hotel near the light thst I understand is now in ruin (hotel not the light!)I do so wish I had the opportunity to visit the interior of the light. My grandfather was a lighthouse keeer on Cape Cod Massachusetts

I'm a 2nd grade teacher. We read a story called "Lighthouse." One of my students asked me what the inside of a lighthouse looked like. I had no idea because I had never been to a lighthouse, much less know what one looked like on the inside. I was so excited when I found this page. I was able to take the kids on a tour of a real lighthouse. Thank you.

When I was a little boy I was taken with my grandfather to spend a day and part of the night in the lighthouse-the keeper was my grandad's pal-he was called 'Harry the Light' ...! Amazing experience. We fished off the rocks after it went dark waiting for the tide to drop.

excellent pictures I wanted to explore the lighthouse island but only managed to walk across the water so far before the sea became too deep going back to jersey in september from yorkshire
