On celebrates Romany culture
Moving
On! is a four-day celebration of Romany Culture taking place at the
newly opened Discovery Centre in Dover this autumn.
Most
events are free and will include photo exhibitions, talks, outdoor
displays by Frank Ball and Henry
Elliot and the grand finale will be A Romany Celebration with
music, food and reminiscences.
The
event has been co-ordinated by Kent's Rural Community Council and
it's Community Development Worker, Jack Lawson said: "We hope
this event will decrease suspicion and prejudice on the part of
established communities and open doors of literacy, further education
and better health for Traveller communities."

It
all starts on Wednesday 24th September and runs until
the Saturday night. If you want to go to any of the evening
events you will need to book and there is a charge of 拢2.50
